    Kebanyakan fasilitas parkir tidak memberikan informasi bahwa parkiran sudah penuh sehingga membuat pengguna jasa parkir harus memakan waktu lebih dari 10 menit untuk menemukan slot parkir. Sistem parkir dirancang untuk membuka dan menutup portal secara otomatis serta memberikan informasi slot parkir yang harus dituju oleh pengguna jasa parkir pada sebuah layar monitor yang diletakkan sebelum portal masuk. Sistem ini juga mampu menampilkan jumlah slot parkir yang masih tersedia. Lampu indikator pada slot parkir berfungsi untuk memberikan indikasi menyala jika slot sudah terisi dan tidak menyala jika slot parkir tidak terisi. Indikasi ini menjadi parameter untuk tampilan informasi slot parkir yang harus dituju. Prototipe menggunakan pressure switch pad untuk mengaktifkan portal dan counter, motor servo sebagai penggerak portal masuk dan portal keluar, sensor LDR untuk mendeteksi keberadaan mobil pada slot parkir, LED sebagai lampu indikator, LCD sebagai layar monitor, dan seven segment sebagai counter dan menampilkan jumlah slot parkir yang masih tersedia. Angka pada seven segment berkurang jika mobil masuk dan bertambah jika mobil keluar. Prototipe mampu memberikan informasi bahwa parkiran penuh dengan menampilkan angka 0 (nol) pada seven segment dan informasi slot parkir FULL pada LCD.     Portal hypertension is the main cause of complications in patients with cirrhosis. However, evaluating the development and progression of portal hypertension represents a challenge for clinicians. There has been considerable focus on the potential role of noninvasive markers of portal hypertension that could be used to stratify patients with respect to the stage of portal hypertension and to monitor disease progression or treatment response in a longitudinal manner without having to undertake repeated invasive assessment. The pathogenesis of portal hypertension is increasingly understood and emerging knowledge of the vascular processes that underpin portal hypertension has paved the way for exploring novel biomarkers of vascular injury, angiogenesis, and endothelial dysfunction.     A Vehicular Portal Monitor

    A NaI monitoring system was assembled and installed to provide radiological surveillance of refuse trucks destined for the sanitary landfill at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The performance of the system was tested by obtaining count rates for various gamma reference sources placed in the bed of a pickup truck parked over the detector. The system's sensitivity was documented for the various sources counted in a stationary truck as well as in a truck moving over the detector. Data analysis also determined the lower limits of detection for the system.     Intermittent Pringle Maneuver and Hepatic Function: Perioperative Monitoring by Noninvasive ICG-Clearance

    BACKGROUND: Intermittent Pringle maneuver or selective portal clamping often are used to control inflow during parenchymal liver transection. This study was designed to determinate whether these maneuvers are associated with adverse hepatic function. METHODS: Resection was performed without portal clamping in 17 patients (group 1). Selective continuous portal clamping was performed in 11 patients (group 2) and the remaining 33 patients (group 3) had intermittent nonselective portal clamping (occlusion of the main portal trunk). The centers' protocol for total portal occlusion is 15-min occlusion alternated with 5-min reperfusion in patients with normal liver parenchyma or 10 min alternated with 5 min in patients with abnormal parenchyma. ICG elimination tests were conducted concurrently using a noninvasive monitor that tracks the plasma disappearance rate (PDR-ICG-%/min) and 15-min retention rate after administration (ICG-R15-%). RESULTS: There was no statistically difference between the three studied groups in terms of sequential changes of ICG-PDR (p < 0.625) or ICG-R15 (p < 0.398). CONCLUSIONS: Our study indicates that 15 min of intermittent Pringle maneuver or selective hemihepatic continuous portal clamping are safe methods of vascular control during liver resection, with no adverse effects on hepatocellular function

Telah dilakukan pembuatan   perangkat lunak portal monitor radiasi dengan menggunakan  LabVIEW™.  Perangkat  lunak  ini  mampu  mendeteksi  adanya  sumber  radiasi standard di dalam model kendaraan. Pada saat model kendaraan melewati Portal Monitor Radiasi (PMR) akan terjadi  alarm karena hasil cacahan  melebihi ambang batas yang sudah ditetapkan. Semua   alarm yang terjadi, data   pemindaan, data latar   dan   kendaraan   disimpan di dalam database. Dari sepuluh kali percobaan PMR, adanya sumber pada model kendaraan tersebut selalu dapat dikenali. Bentuk profil hasil pemindaian belum dapat    menunjukkan  letak sumber didalam model kendaraan.Katakunci: Portal Monitor Radiasi (PMR) ,  LabVIEW™ ABSTRACTAN ENGINEERING OF RADIATION PORTAL MONITOR PROGRAM USING LabVIEW™. A computer program package for radiation portal monitor (RPM) using LabVIEW has been developed. This program is able to detect the presence of a standard source in a modeled vehicle. When the modeled vehicle passes through an RPM, the sensor is alarmed because the count exceeds the alarm threshold previously set. All data on the alarm occurrence, scanning process, background counts, and vehicles are stored in a database. The experiment was repeated ten times. The results indicate that the RPM is able to detect the presence of the standard source located in the modeled vehicle. However, the program still needs an improvement in the scanning profile to make it able to identify the precise location of the source in the vehicle.Keywords: Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM), LabVIEW
